On Saturday of Sant Joan marks the official start of the festivities of Sant Joan in Ciutadella. The fabioler makes the traditional "first touch", asking permission to the cashier sir to begin the party with the sounds of the flabiol and drum. Then the Qualcada begins to collect the knights through the city and the flag is delivered to the Fadrí cashier. This symbolic gesture gives way to the emblematic cavalcades, which fill the streets of joy, music and horses decorated. The day combines emotion, tradition and popular participation, maintaining a protocol that is transmitted from generation to generation. Ciutadella is transformed into a unique celebration and rooted in Menorcan identity.
