"Lorca in Menorca" Ciutadella
After 140 performances and two seasons in Barcelona (Teatro Romea 2018 and Versus Glorias 2019) and a third in Buenos Aires (Boedo 2020), “LORCA en MENORCA” now arrives. This theatrical experience awakens our emotions and expands our imaginary horizon.
It begins with a guitar arpeggio in 1919, when Federico García Lorca moved from Granada to Madrid to study. He settles into the Student Residence, a vibrant cultural center of the time, where he meets Dalí. As a result of this friendship, Lorca travels to Cadaqués, where he forges a close relationship with Anna Maria, sister of Salvador Dalí. Through letters, personal diaries, poems and anecdotes, we will travel through these years of youth. “LORCA” is an intimate and atmospheric show that combines the word and the moon as a leitmotif, a journey through time with guitar chords and the aroma of orange trees.
