Perla is a play that pays tribute to working women who have often been left out of the history books. The piece recovers the memory of those women who, from a very young age, gave their effort and their youth to the factory. The Pearls of Manacor, dedicated to the manufacture of necklaces, earrings and Miss crowns.

Through the eyes of her granddaughters, the work reconstructs her experiences and vindicates her legacy, addressing topics such as family memory, work, class pride, friendship and mutual support. Voices, everyday objects, photographs and postcards become elements that help recover stories transmitted from generation to generation.

With Les Pinyes and Francesca Vadell, Perla It combines visual theater, object theater, live music, humor and tenderness to give voice to essential women in the social and labor history of Mallorca. A scenic proposal that invites us to recognize and preserve a collective memory that deserves to be told.
