On March 1, Balearic Islands Day is commemorated with events throughout the archipelago. Depending on this great festival, various activities are organized from February 27 to March 9. The program for this great day in Ibiza is a varied program with activities for all types of audiences.
Samples and exhibitions
Throughout the entire celebration you can attend different exhibitions or samples that aim to show the true Balearic essence. We can visit:
- Exhibition of the archaeological museum of Ibiza and Formentera. This can be visited for free on February 27.
- The exhibition of crafts, workshops, games and traditional songs. We can find this on the Paseo de Vara de Rey in the city of Ibiza. This can be visited on March 1.
- VI Short Film Exhibition, which will be held at Cal Jeroni on March 7
- Exhibition of traditional poets and singers in the Cas Serres auditorium on the last day of the celebration, March 9.
Live music
On March 3, you can find Maria Florit's musical performance. This will be found in the Plaza de España in San Juan.
Sport activities
The big day of the Balearic Islands does not leave aside any type of activity and since sports are not an option, the program reflects many competitions of all types of sports, such as horse riding or cycling, among others. Here are some of the competitions that take place:
