The festival of Sant Pere, patron saint of sailors, is celebrated on June 29 in Alcúdia. The maritime procession stands out in which the decorated boats accompany the image of the saint through the bay. The week before, cultural and recreational activities such as festivals, parades and concerts are organized. This tradition is linked to the roots of the seafaring trade in the port and the ancient worship in a small church dedicated to Sant Pere. The organization is carried out by the City Council and the Fishermen's Guild.
