Vinya Son Alegre

Son Alegre vineyard is a family winery located in Calonge, in the municipality of Santanyí, southeast of Mallorca. With the first vines planted in 2004 and the first wines marketed in 2010, Son Alegre has the honor of being the first wine from the Santanyí region after more than 125 years of viticultural absence, thus recovering a tradition that dates back to the 13th century.

Son Alegre's proposal revolves around two local products made under ecological, biological and biodynamic criteria: its Son Alegre wines and his Sileo extra virgin olive oil. The wines, red, white and rosé, carry the IGP Vi de la Terra Mallorca seal, are 100% organic and vegan. Sileo oil, available in a 500 ml bottle (€15) and a 250 ml can (€10), has the Designation of Origin Oil of Mallorca and is supervised by IQUA and the Regulatory Council of the DO, guaranteeing exceptional quality without the use of pesticides.

In addition to its products, They are cheerful offers wine and oil tastings with dinner at Finca Ca’n Taconer, birthplace of the owner Miquel Manresa, just a 5-minute walk from the winery. The experience begins at 7:00 p.m. with a guided tour of the vineyard of about 20 minutes, led by Miquel himself, followed by a dinner with pa amb oli, Sileo oil, dessert, coffee and brandy, accompanied by up to six different wines, with explanations from María, his sommelier. The tastings are carried out in Catalan, Spanish, English and German, and are recommended with a 48-hour advance reservation by email or phone.
