Sineu welcomes one of the most established celebrations of Mallorcan culture: San Antonio. The protagonists of this ancient festival are the “demons” and the “beneids”, which are also part of the Sineuera tradition.

Masked men dressed as demons dance around bonfires until the early hours of the morning. The blessed ones are another of the attractions of this pagan festival that is celebrated on January 17, where dozens of people parade with their animals and pets to receive the holy water of Sant Antoni. In addition, on January 20, the nit de foc is also celebrated, venerating Saint Anthony.
